 Please be advised, that due to the scour damage to County Bridge H-95 (Miller Park Road) caused by Tropical Storm Ida, the County will be doing an emergency bridge closure while repairs are being done. The closure will begin on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, and is expected to last 3 to 5 weeks (weather dependent).

 A detour will be posted utilizing Rummel and Javes Roads.

*If a mailbox is hit by a Township snowplow or damaged due to snow thrown by a snowplow, the owner shall contact the Township within thirty (30) days to report the incident. Any claim submitted after 30 days will not be processed.

*The resident will replace the mailbox and submit an original receipt for the replacement along with a filled out W-9 form. The township will reimburse the resident up to $50.00, but no more than the cost of the mailbox.

Resolution on Claims for Mailboxes Damaged by Snowplows

The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of Township roads. This includes the patching and sweeping of roads, roadside mowing, leave clean-up and snow removal.

The Public Works personnel also remove trees and brush from along township roadways.

The Department of Public Works personnel are also responsible for maintaining township buildings, including the Municipal Building, the Community Center and the recycling center. They keep the buildings clean and maintain the grounds.
