The Agriculture Advisory Committee is pleased to report that there are 26 preserved farms in Holland Twp., bringing the total of preserved farmland to 2213 acres! It is expected that one additional farm will close this year and two more by 2019 adding approximately 325 more acres to that total.

Our goal is to bring the total of preserved farmland to 2900 acres by the end of 2021.

Additionally, since 2013, over 300 acres of open space were preserved in the Township bringing that total to 2169 acres. Three of these parcels were preserved with the significant effort of the Hunterdon Land Trust, including the Musconetcong Mountain Preserve and the Holland Twp. parkland adjacent to the Riegel Ridge Community Center.

Please see the Township map (which we plan to update by the end of this year) showing the locations of preserved land.
